You’re 50s-60s will likely be better if you are in decent physical shape rather than obese and sedentary.

I'm a WORKOUTMO and am afraid my 50-60s are actually going to suck. I have all sorts of weird nerve pain from something going on in my back, likely from years of deadlifting with terrible form. Sitting in a computer chair all day isn't helping.

Three of my four grandparents lived well into their 90s (the exception lived to 86 or so). All lived great, healthy lives until somewhat shortly before they died. Their 80s were great.

Yeah I think exercise is mainly good at increasing the span of "healthy" life, wherein the decline happens later and there is less time spent in ill health.

all three of them were active for their ages, grandfather was lifting weights and practicing medicine until he was 90/91 or so. The one who died "early" was not active at all and didn't take care of herself.

I looked at it and it seems like you are doing 10.83 days of exercise per year, so after 27.7 years, you are spending more time exercising than you supposedly are going to get back.

diet and never getting fat is far more crucial for good quality of life when you're older. so long as you don't become completely sedentary and maintain some minimal strength, you're in good shape. Most people fuck up by obsessively focusing on fitness at the expense of eating well, reducing stress, and getting enough sleep. that shit wrecks your body in ways that exercise can't repair.
